Working Groups

The U.S.-Israel Business Initiative establishes issue-oriented working groups that serve as forums for members to discuss key topics pertinent to the bilateral commercial relationship and recommend strategic actions for the initiative to take in advancing its policy priorities.

  • Innovation Policy Working Group – Israel is an ever-growing partner for the United States in generating innovation for American companies, while creating high-skilled jobs here at home.  The U.S.-Israel Business Initiative’s innovation working group showcases the best practices and public policies that have propelled Israel into one of the leading generators of entrepreneurship and innovation in the world.  The working group seeks to increase the visibility of innovative collaboration with policymakers, play a leading role in policy affecting innovation, and exhibit success stories of novel partnerships between the United States and Israel.
  • R&D Practitioners Working Group – Israel is a global leader in R&D. Dozens of U.S. companies have chosen to establish R&D centers in Israel, including titans of American industry and innovation. There is a growing need for companies to share best practices and influence the policy debate in Israel affecting multinational companies that are investing heavily in Israel. The working group impacts policy related to R&D companies in Israel, facilitates investment, creates a discussion forum for R&D companies, and advocates for the policies that will advance commercial relations pertaining to R&D.
  • Ad- Hoc Working Groups – Working with member companies, the U.S.-Israel Business Initiative will develop additional forums where needed to focus on relevant sectors based on corporate priorities.
